From captivating balcony views and tranquil walks, to outdoor adventures, Stronefield cottage is the ideal location to feel truly immersed in the West of Scotland.

The local area is bursting with activities,  whether it is walking or cycling the Crinan Canal, checking out the numerous Forestry Commission walks, or visiting the Standing Stones in Kilmartin. Take a boat trip to see the 3rd largest whirpool in the world - the Corryvreckan, try out some fishing, pony trekking, or kayak in the local lochs alongside Argylls wildlife.

The local area is abundant with wildlife. Stepping just outside the cottage, highland cows are resident in neighbouring fields, as well as Red deer and the occasional Badger.

Take a boat trip out from the marina to the Sound of Jura where seals are in abundance, and porpoises and dolphins are common occurrences. Between July and September it is even possible to spot Minke whales!

Keep a look out for birds of prey such as golden and sea eagles as they are known to frequent the area.

Five minutes walk from the cottage are two great eating places/pub from which to sample the delightful Argyll seafood (scallops, langoustines etc) local beef and lamb and vegetarian options.

Alternatively, buy your own from the village store / farm shops and cook in our well equipped kitchen, or even BBQ (if you're lucky with the weather...!)
